OMTA offers a wide variety of events, ranging from local LMTs community gatherings for networking, support, and free CEs, to day or weekend conferences.  There are also sponsored volunteer events through the year that you can receive CE credit for in Oregon. (Out-of-state license CE requirements need to be checked with that particular state.)  If there is a specific event type you are interested in seeing, or something in your area, please contact your local Area Representative or the State Coordinator.

For specific event types, please see Upcoming Area Meetings, OMTA Instructor Events, or the OMTA Annual Meeting/Conference.

Healing the Low Back by Treating the Hamstrings and Glutes with Lily L. Warden

Presenter Lily L. Warden, LMT has been focusing on hip and low back work for the past 6 years.  She has seen the profound affects of treating low back pain with focus on the hamstrings, hips, and a few other important muscle groups to be highly effective.

In the class, she hopes to share her personal and professional experience of how she came to understand these muscle connections and then demonstrate some techniques she frequently uses including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Cupping.

**The meeting will be from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and participants are eligible for 2 hours of CEU's. Anyone can attend the meeting for free, however, to receive the CEU's there is a $5 fee for OMTA members and a $10 fee for nonmembers.  Remember to bring cash or a check!  We cannot accept credit cards at this time.**

We try to end the meeting at
8:30 pm and then have a period of time to network when we are done presenting. Please feel free to bring your own snacks/dinner with you.  We are located in Lane's New Downtown Center across from the public library at 101 W. 10 Street. The building is a LEED Platinum, energy efficient complex that includes multiple green features like rainwater harvesting, passive ventilation, solar energy and solar thermal generation and geothermal heating and cooling, among other things.
